It's easy to say "the terrorist was dumb, In his rage for revenge about 9/11 he didn't know the difference between Sikhs and Muslims." It is harder to say that the U.S. harbors racist terrorists just as dangerous as Al Qaeda.
“This guy was in the thick of the white supremacist music scene and, in fact, played with some of the best known racist bands in the country,” said Mark Potok, a senior fellow at the center. “The music that comes from these bands is incredibly violent and it talks about murdering Jews, black people, gay people and a whole host of other enemies. It is music that could not be sold over the counter around the country.” [NYTimes]
In our midst lie the vipers capable of the Oklahoma City bombing and the other attacks that have stemmed from the madness of small groups and individuals. Perhaps we should be spending less money on assassinating people with drones in foreign lands and pay more attention to our domestic terrorists. We know who many of them are. Hell, they brag about it.
Why not start to take them seriously and deploy our resources more intelligently.
