Yes Mr Wallace...........I appreciate you giving me the chance to
become friends with someone of another country, another lifestyle, also i have
friends that would love to become apart of this project.........thanks a mill'
You may have wondered what has become of Ian and Sam...Well, they are still friends. I haven't posted their most recent letters and the reason is in the letter I just sent to them, below. Bruce ---
Dear Ian and Sam, Congratulations. I have finally had to censor email and make the decision to not put your most recent letters on the blog. (But I will post this email to let people know that you two have remained friends.)
I thought this would bother me because I like to put your stuff on the blog. It turns out that I feel so good about the fact that you two have gotten so close to each other that you can talk so freely to one another that you reveal very personal things about yourselves.
So, I will continue to be pleased by your writings. Have you any friends that would like to write so that we can expand this project a little bit?
We didn't hear from Sam for a long time. We were worried about WAR! Life, it turns out, can be more important than war. ---
I'm so so so so sorry for not keeping In touch,
I know that I haven't sent anything to U for more than a month, but believe me I
was/still busy with School exams and everything, as U know this year is my final
year in high school so I gotta study hard, I got my grades for the first month
and it wasn't great, I failed in 2 lessons (French) & (Math), school sux, it
wasn't my fault, we had both exams on one day and we were having problems with
electricity so I couldn't read a thing.
life still the same here, the elections r
coming, hope the new government will do something coz all the previous
government didn't do anything, only stealing from ppl. it's been 3 years since
the war ended and till now nothing fixed, Saddam fixed the electricity in only 3
MONTHS after the gulf war !

friend's house, she's great, It's been 8 dayz since I last saw her coz both of
us R having exams, Hope to C her within this week, I'll keep U updated with my
personal life ! LOL

new girfriend or not ?
Some -of the students in the Iraq-US email project seem more mature than others. They are more deeply touched than others. Here two young men meet and through the madness touch each other in very real ways. They are still young men, however, and the chaos they witness does not stop them from being themselves...

'H'' (Sam) is in Iraq. 'I' (Ian) is in the US. Many miles seperate them, but they overcome the distance with an honesty that loudly proclaims their similarities. Hear their voices and you will know some of their strength. And you just gotta love that photo! Bruce
